The New Image of Ceuta Link on the Catamaran “Villa de Agaete”
This is the new corporate image of the catamaran “Villa de Agaete” (IMO 9206700) following its recent dry docking at Gibdock, from which it has emerged repainted with the logo of a new company called Ceuta Link Co., owned by Ceuta Link S.L., or in other words, a company created specifically for the management of this vessel on the Ceuta-Algeciras route by the managers of the Armas Trasmediterránea Group.
The news published on puentedemando.com first prompted an internal statement and then a press release issued on October 22, which acknowledges that “a binding agreement has been signed between Caflaja S.L. and a shipping operator for the transfer of the business —rumored to be UME, among other options—, which includes the vessel ‘Villa de Agaete’, the guarantee of maintaining all employees related to the maritime route, as well as other assets of the line.”
According to the information released, “the shareholders of Caflaja S.L. have always prioritized the maintenance of employment, continuity, and preservation of connectivity of the lines and vessels in line with previous transactions, as well as respect and orientation towards service with our historical clients, among whom are the residents of Ceuta who now more than ever need all the empathy, commitment, and stability, along with a clear demonstration of collaboration in such an important and strategic matter as maritime transport.”
“The transaction is taking standard times for a key route for the Spanish state, such as Algeciras – Ceuta, which requires a series of procedures and deadlines that are being practiced. Likewise, as part of the defined strategy for this operation, starting from October 30, the shipping company Caflaja S.L. will operate under the new commercial brand Ceuta Link.”
Established in November 2025, it has its origins in the entity Servicios Corporativos de Bahía S.L., one of the companies in the Anarafe network, although the name change occurred on October 21 and is listed with José Vicente Herrero Gómez as the administrator.
