Holland America Line to Launch the Renovated Cruise Ship "Zuiderdam" in Spain
Holland America Line has opened bookings for the first European season of the renovated cruise ship "Zuiderdam". The cruise line is implementing the Holland America Evolution program, which aims to refurbish the oldest ships in its fleet.
The newly refurbished ship will return to service on April 2, 2028, with an itinerary initially focused on the Mediterranean, where it will operate several seven-night cruises between Civitavecchia, Barcelona, and Lisbon.
During these itineraries, the ship will call at several Spanish ports such as: Valencia, Alicante, Málaga, and Cádiz. It will also visit other destinations like: Livorno, Portofino, Marseille, Gibraltar, and Tangier.
Subsequently, the cruise ship "Zuiderdam" will embark on a 13-day cruise between Lisbon and Amsterdam, with stops in A Coruña and Bilbao, before continuing to France, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
After completing its Mediterranean season, the ship will establish its base in Amsterdam, from where it will operate cruises to the Norwegian fjords, Iceland, Greenland, and Northern Europe.
