Valenciaport to Invest €1.8 Million to Transform the Surroundings of the Iconic Clock Building
The Port Authority of Valencia has put out to tender the renovation works of the surroundings of the Clock Building, one of the most iconic spaces of the port. The aim is to improve its integration with the city and La Marina, creating a more attractive and accessible area for citizens.
The project will involve an investment of €1.8 million and will cover an area of 13,000 square meters. The works will include new green areas, shaded zones, pergolas, urban furniture, and the renewal of lighting.
Additionally, the spaces will be reorganized to give more prominence to pedestrians and cyclists. To achieve this, the size of the current roundabout will be reduced, and the walking and cycling routes will be improved.
The project also includes the integration of the space occupied by the former Casa de la Copa, whose demolition will allow for the expansion and improvement of the square located next to the Clock Building.
The works, which are set to begin at the end of the year, will last approximately nine months.
