Unfinished Work, the Ferry “Nápoles” Returns to Melilla
Unfinished work after the collision suffered by the Cypriot-flagged ferry “Nápoles” –as can be seen in the accompanying image– when it was sailing on the night of March 12 between Málaga and Melilla, Balearia begins today its stage as the contractor for the lines related to the port of Melilla.
Until March 31, 2023, Balearia –which recently reported profits of 49 million euros in 2021– will have to comply with twelve weekly frequencies: six on the Melilla-Málaga line, three on the Melilla-Motril line, and three on the Melilla-Almería line. In addition to the aforementioned “Nápoles”, the ferry “Bahama Mama”, registered in Malta, will also serve the contract.
