The tugboat “Dobra” damaged during the maneuver of the tuna boat “Galerna Lau”

As a result of the maneuver to leave the tuna vessel “Galerna Lau” from Astilleros Armón, Gijón, when it was heading to dock at the port of El Musel, the tugboat “Dobra”, which was assisting it, also suffered significant damage, including the breakage of one of its propellers and impacts on the hull, which means it will be out of service until repaired. An investigation has been opened to determine the details of the maneuver and the corresponding responsibilities.

Meanwhile, the tuna boat “Galerna Lau” is now in Vigo, having arrived under tow from the tugboat “Trheinta”, from the RUSA fleet. According to reports, it has considerable damage to the stern propeller, rudder, bulb, keel, and hull, caused during the maneuver to leave the shipyard, after colliding with the tugboat and touching bottom. It will be repaired at the Vigo factory of Astilleros Armón and will undergo tests for its official delivery to the Albacora Group.
