Trasmediterránea keeps the ship “Snav Adriático” on the Barcelona-Mahón route
Trasmediterránea will maintain the ship “Snav Adriático” this winter on the Barcelona-Mahón route, where it will make four weekly rotations, along with the ship “Zurbarán”, making a total of five, two more than those made in the same season of 2015. This is a strong commitment from the century-old shipping company to reinforce its presence in Menorca and, at the same time, to compete with Balearia.
Although the ship “Juan J. Sister” was initially scheduled, it has been decided to keep the ship “Snav Adriático” for two main reasons: it doubles the passenger capacity (1,320 seats compared to 672) and has 1,650 linear meters for rolling cargo, 360 linear meters more. Additionally, it has more speed, as the ship “Juan J. Sister” does not exceed 18 knots, which was the speed established when the contract for its construction was signed.
