The ship “Superfast Baleares” will replace “J.M. Entrecanales” on the Canary Islands route
Following the end of the contract with DFDS, the ship Super-Fast Baleares has returned to Spain and is currently in Cádiz, where it will soon replace its twin José Maria Entrecanales on the Canary Islands route, due to the latter's upcoming dry dock. This situation has brought together three Trasmediterránea ships today in the Cádiz port, including the roll-on/roll-off Volcán de Teneguía, which is chartered, and the ferry Albayzin, which departed for the Canary Islands this afternoon.
Based in Immingham, a port located in the northwest of England, the ship Super-Fast Baleares has reached Gothenburg (Sweden), Esbjerg (Denmark), Rotterdam (Netherlands), and Antwerp (Belgium). Previously, it operated on the Marseille-Tunis route. It has been an interesting experience for its crews, in a different environment than usual, and an opportunity for Trasmediterránea, which has positioned one of its best ships in significant international traffic.
