The Storm Complicates the Agony of the Catamaran 'Pinar del Río'
The storm situation occurring in the Levantine region has caused significant damage to the starboard side of the catamaran 'Pinar del Río'. In recent hours, part of the hull has cracked, and water is pouring in. The vessel has been stranded on the jetty of the port of Denia since the night of August 16.
A few days later, with the help of a powerful crane, the vehicles that were in the garage were successfully removed one by one. It was later decided to dismantle it 'in situ', due to the risk that, if it were to be refloated, it could block the port of Denia, where Balearia is headquartered and is the main line to Ibiza and Palma.
