Russian Frigate "Neustrashimy" Conducts Live Fire Exercise in the English Channel Under the Watchful Eye of the Royal Navy
On Monday, July 20, the Russian frigate "Neustrashimy" conducted a live fire exercise in the English Channel, one of the busiest maritime routes in the world. The maneuvers were closely monitored by the British Royal Navy and the French Armed Forces, who kept a close watch on the situation.
According to the UK Ministry of Defence, reported by the BBC, the Russian vessel was located about 40 nautical miles off the British coast.
Before starting the exercise, the crew of the Russian ship informed the British and French military personnel deployed in the area that they would be conducting live fire and requested them to move to a safe distance.
The maneuvers were carried out under the supervision of the British patrol vessel "HMS Tyne" and a French maritime patrol aircraft, which also established radio contact with the Russian ship to understand its intentions in the area.
