One million one hundred thousand seats for summer travel to the Balearic Islands
One million one hundred thousand seats is the offer that the Armas-Trasmediterránea Group provides this summer on the routes connecting the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands and vice versa, to which an additional 200,000 seats for inter-island services must be added. This will be the case during the period from June 17 to September 15, with a fleet of ten ships, six of which are ferries and two are fast ferries.
Among the main novelties for this summer season is the incorporation, since last weekend, of the newly named “Ciudad de Ceuta,” formerly “Milenium Dos,” which connects Gandia–Ibiza–Palma. This is the shipping company's response to the demand for a high-speed vessel on these routes, allowing the crossing to be shortened to two and a half hours on the Gandia-Ibiza route and two hours and fifteen minutes on the Ibiza-Palma route.
Additionally, with the aim of providing a complete and higher quality service to passengers, the Armas Trasmediterránea Group offers a free shuttle service that will connect Valencia and Gandía for those passengers traveling on the high-speed vessel. The shuttle bus will be activated in the coming days and will depart from different points in the city.
In addition to the introduction of high speed, Ibiza will have more reinforcements this summer. On one hand, the Barcelona–Ibiza line, covered by the ferry “Ciudad de Mahón,” has been reinforced with one more direct rotation per week on Saturdays, increasing from five to six daily departures in each direction.
Thus, from June 15, there are departures from Ibiza on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 10:30 AM and on Sundays at 10:00 PM. From Barcelona, departures are at 10:30 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. From Valencia to Ibiza, the company connects both destinations with the vessel “Ciudad de Ibiza,” which makes six weekly departures from each port.
In the connections with Palma, it is noteworthy that two daily connections are maintained on the Barcelona–Palma–Barcelona line. On one hand, the daytime and nighttime departures from each port with the vessels “Tenacia” and “Ciudad de Palma,” as well as a daily connection from Valencia with the vessel “Forza” that also connects Valencia-Mahón via Palma on weekends.
The Armas-Trasmediterránea Group completes its fleet for the Balearic Islands with two roll-on/roll-off cargo ships, “Superfast Levante” and “Volcán de Teneguía,” which have been incorporated since May 27 to reinforce the supply to the islands.
