One dead and four injured in a drill on the world's largest cruise ship
The story repeats itself. This time, the protagonist is the world's largest cruise ship, the "Harmony of the Seas." A lifeboat fell into the water, resulting in one death and four serious injuries. This occurred during a stop at the port of Marseille, during a safety drill. Five crew members were aboard the boat following an established routine procedure. For some reason, the securing mechanism failed, and it plunged into the water, with tragic results.
The four injured individuals are suffering from multiple traumas and have been evacuated to hospitals in the city. According to reports, the boat fell from a height of about ten meters, approximately, from deck number five. The deceased crew member is a 42-year-old Filipino, and of the four injured, two are in serious condition. The exact causes of the accident have not been clarified, but it once again raises concerns in the sector, particularly in maritime tourism, where accidents of this nature occur with relative frequency.
