The OESV Vessel “Edda Fjord”, the Largest in the History of the Eo Estuary
Gondán Shipyards is advancing in the construction of the OESV (Ocean Energy Support Vessel) “Edda Fjord”, commissioned by the Norwegian company Ostenjo Rederi, its main client in recent years. A Catalan banking entity has issued a line of guarantees for just over 125 million euros, although the contract amount has not been disclosed.
This is a multi-service vessel for marine energy, measuring 120 m in length and 23 m in width, which will be the largest by tonnage built in the Eo estuary upon its launch. Delivery is scheduled for the second half of 2027. It will have hybrid propulsion and accommodation for 180 people.
