Naviera Armas' Ferry Returns to Melilla Port
Naviera Armas' ferry is once again taking center stage this autumn and winter in maritime communications between Melilla and Almería, with the presence of the ferry “Volcán de Timanfaya.” It has been four years since a ship from the Canary shipping company visited the Melilla port, which operates on the aforementioned route in service of Trasmediterránea.
In addition to the Melilla-Almería route, the ferry “Volcán de Timanfaya” also covers the weekly lines from Algeria connecting Ghazaouet and Orán with the Almería port.
The ferry “Volcán de Timanfaya” is a vessel with a capacity for 1,000 passengers, including 250 in cabins, which feature pet-friendly options and accommodations for reduced mobility, as well as a garage for 300 cars and 1,350 linear meters of rolling cargo.
It maintains a speed of 23 knots and offers various onboard services: cafeteria, self-service, terrace with sea views, swimming pool, seating areas with television monitors, children's lounge, shop, free Wi-Fi, and a pet area.
