The new cruise ship "MSC World Asia" successfully completes its first sea trials
The new cruise ship "MSC World Asia" has successfully completed its final sea trials ahead of its delivery, scheduled for November 25 of this year.
The vessel from MSC Cruises conducted the tests in the Atlantic Ocean, off the west coast of France, where the engines, maneuverability, speed, fuel consumption, and safety systems were checked. Braking tests were also performed.
The cruise ship "MSC World Asia" will be the twenty-fourth for the company and the fourth powered by LNG. The new unit will feature over 40 bars, restaurants, and lounges, in addition to international shows and various family spaces, with a program focused on the Mediterranean.
After completing the sea trials, the ship will return to the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire to finish the final work before its delivery. The official naming ceremony will take place in Le Havre on November 28.
Afterward, the ship will set sail from Barcelona on December 4 for its inaugural seven-night journey through the Mediterranean.
