The World's Largest Civil Hospital Ship Exiled to Granadilla on Its Inaugural Voyage
An iconic ship on a global scale, the civil hospital ship “Global Mercy”, yet to be inaugurated, has arrived today at the port of Granadilla, not Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where it logically should be docked. An incomprehensible action, once again, by the Port Authority, unable to understand what the presence of a ship of this type means at the capital's dock.
We thought some past complexes were exiled with Javier Mora's arrival at the port's management, but we see that is not the case. As if the docks were full and there was no space. Last Friday, at noon, we could verify: the Anaga Dock was completely empty. They were painting the dock.
Mercy Ships, the entity managing this ship, has invited the Queen of Spain to visit its new vessel, which will carry out a humanitarian mission in African countries. It is the largest civil hospital ship in the world. A different yardstick compared to an oil platform docked at the Los Llanos Dock, which occupies space and generates revenue for the Port Authority. And nothing more.
In summary, more of the same. And that’s how it goes for us.
