Jesús Oliver inaugurates the exhibition “100 Years of Tras” in Palma
The Mallorcan collector Jesús Oliver Blanco, son and grandson of captains, inaugurated this noon a commemorative exhibition of the centenary of Trasmediterránea, titled “100 Years of Tras”, at the San Carlos Historical-Military Museum in Palma. Oliver had previously held other maritime-themed exhibitions, with great success.
The representative of Trasmediterránea in Palma, Antonio Mercant, presented commemorative plaques for the Centenary of the shipping company to Jesús Oliver Blanco and the commanding director of the Museum where the exhibition is held, Jaime Sastre, in appreciation for the initiative and the chosen space.
The exhibition is quite extensive and of high quality. It brings together a significant amount of material that its owner has been collecting over time, given his special ties to Trasmediterránea and the port of Palma de Mallorca. Models, uniforms, flags, tableware, plaques, photographs, and various advertising materials constitute an invitation to travel back in time through what has been the hundred years of the shipping company.
