Fincantieri Launches the Luxury Cruise Ship “Oceania Sonata”, First of the New Sonata Class for Oceania Cruises

Fincantieri and Oceania Cruises have celebrated the launch of the luxury cruise ship “Oceania Sonata”, the first of the new Sonata class. It is currently under construction in Marghera, Italy, with delivery expected in 2027.

The ship will have approximately 86,000 gross tons and capacity for 1,390 passengers. It will be equipped with spacious common areas and spaces designed to offer a high level of comfort and a luxury experience on board. Its design is inspired by the Allura class.

The new Sonata class, entirely built by Fincantieri, will consist of five ships. The next cruise on the list will be the “Oceania Arietta”, with delivery expected in 2029. The remaining deliveries are scheduled for 2032, 2035, and 2037.
