Fincantieri Delivers the Cruise Ship “Resilient Lady”
The Fincantieri shipyard, located in Sestri Ponente, has delivered the third of the four Lady-class ships commissioned by Virgin Voyages. It is named “Resilient Lady” and, like its predecessors, stands out for its design, the application of cutting-edge technology, and a wide range of entertainment and dining options, in line with the Virgin service personality.
During their stay on board, passengers have an app on their mobile phones that allows them to manage a wide range of functions in their cabin (air conditioning, lighting, opening and closing of blinds, music, and television).
Flagged in the Bahamas, the new ship has a capacity of 2,820 passengers distributed across 1,400 cabins on nine decks, of which 86% have balconies, and 1,160 crew members.
The estimated cost is around 700 million euros.
With a gross tonnage of 110,000 tons, it measures 278 m in length and 38 m in width, and is powered by a dual diesel-electric system. IMO Code 9805348.
