The ferry “Juan J. Sister” on the Valencia-Ibiza route
The Valencia-Ibiza route of Trasmediterránea will be served all summer by the ferry “Juan J. Sister”. After its recent dry docking, it displays the Centenary logo that will be celebrated starting in November 2016, and before returning to the Balearic Islands, it replaced the ships “Fortuny” and “Sorolla” on the Málaga-Melilla-Almería routes and operated from Barcelona for a few days. It is the highest-rated ship by Trasmediterránea passengers in the Levante, hence the decision to keep it on the Valencia-Ibiza route, where it will undoubtedly play a significant role.
The ferry “Juan J. Sister” remains the best ship of Trasmediterránea almost 23 years after its entry into service. In fact, in May 1993, it became the flagship of the company and a true emblem of the Cádiz-Canary Islands route, for which it was specially designed. It is of Finnish construction, and at the time, we had the pleasure of closely following its evolution and even traveled aboard it several times, with captains of the caliber of Francisco Font, Antonio Díaz-Llanos, and Gonzalo Cotelo, among others.
