The ferry “Ciudad de Granada” will be in Turkey for three months
The ferry “Ciudad de Granada” will set sail next Monday, January 2, on its way to the Betsikas shipyard (Turkey). It is expected to enter dry dock upon arrival, and the stop will last three months, during which, in addition to the scrubbers, a water treatment system will be installed, the hull will be painted with the Trasmed Grimaldi corporate image, and state-of-the-art silicone will be applied, as well as improvements to public spaces and cabins, among other works.
The Spanish subsidiary of the Grimaldi Group has finally decided to contract the dry docking of the ferry “Ciudad de Granada” in Turkey, as it was the best offer presented. This decision is also backed by the fact that it has installed around seventy scrubbers on Grimaldi's ships.
Thus, the option of Astilleros de Santander (ASTANDER) has been ruled out, as it was the most expensive, as well as the option from Italy.
