Fairplay Wants a Slice of the Towing Pie in Las Palmas
The towing company Fairplay Towage wants to establish itself in the port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and, in doing so, open a competing service to the dominance currently held by the Boluda Group. A business that, according to industry sources, generates around 18 million euros annually just in the capital of Gran Canaria, where the traffic of oil platforms is one of its main attractions, as it generates lucrative invoices for the provision of services.
Fairplay Towage plans to position five tugboats in the port of Las Palmas and will open a delegation. The aforementioned company, a global leader, has its headquarters in Hamburg and operational bases in other prominent ports in Europe, such as Rotterdam, Antwerp, Rostock, Wismar, Sassnitz, Wolgast, Szczecin, Swinoujscie, and Gdynia.
