Explora Journeys Receives the Third of Six Planned Luxury Cruise Ships
Explora Journeys, the luxury cruise division of MSC, has officially received the "Explora III" cruise ship, the third in its fleet. The delivery ceremony took place at the Sestri Ponente shipyard of Fincantieri in Genoa, attended by institutional representatives and executives from both companies.
With the addition of this new unit, the cruise line has already put into service three of the six planned cruise ships. The remaining ships are still under construction and will enter service between 2027 and 2028.
The "Explora III" cruise ship is the company's first powered by LNG, which will allow it to reduce its pollutant emissions. Additionally, it is prepared to use renewable fuels in the future, such as bio-LNG and synthetic LNG.
This new vessel measures 268 meters in length and has a capacity for 900 passengers, distributed across 463 exterior cabins with balconies.
