Elcano Incorporates the Bulk Carrier “Forte Dos Reis Magos”

The shipping company Elcano, a Brazilian subsidiary of Elcano Shipping Company, has recently incorporated the bulk carrier “Forte Dos Reis Magos” (IMO 9939084). Intended for mineral traffic in Brazil, it has been specially designed for navigation on the Amazon River, with Manaus as one of its main loading ports.

Built at Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd. (China), delivered in February 2022 and flagged in Panama, it is a vessel of 121,669 deadweight tons, with main dimensions of 258.43 m in length and 43 m in beam. It is powered by a new generation diesel engine that allows it to maintain a speed of 15.5 knots.
