Dutch Frigate "De Ruyter" (F 804) Makes Stop at Palma Port
The port of Palma has recently welcomed the visit of the Dutch frigate "De Ruyter" (F804), which remained docked at the Ribera del Castillo de San Carlos until September 15, before heading back to the Netherlands.
The ship measures 144.2 meters in length and belongs to the De Zeven Provinciën class of the Royal Netherlands Navy. It is specialized in air defense and naval command missions.
The frigate is equipped with advanced sensor and weapon systems, including the three-dimensional APAR radar, used to detect and track various targets.
The "De Ruyter" (F804) departed from its base in Den Helder last April to participate in the international deployment Pacific Archer in the Red Sea. After nearly six months away, the ship has now set sail from Palma port heading to the Netherlands.
