CMA CGM Receives the Container Ship "CMA CGM Pantheon"
CMA CGM has received the new container ship "CMA CGM Pantheon" (IMO 1028047), built by the Chinese shipyard Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding. This vessel is a sister ship of the largest container ship registered in France.
The new ship, which also flies the French flag, measures 399 meters in length, 61.3 meters in width, and has a deadweight tonnage of 231,875 tons. Additionally, it has the capacity to carry 24,000 TEU, placing it among the largest container ships in the world, although it does not surpass its sister ship, which has a capacity of 24,212 TEU.
The "CMA CGM Pantheon" is equipped with a dual-fuel propulsion engine, capable of running on conventional fuel and LNG.
Moreover, it incorporates smart systems that enhance operational efficiency. Among them is an automated control system for docking maneuvers, which reduces the time the ship spends in port and streamlines operations.
It also features technologies to reduce energy consumption, such as variable frequency drives in the engine room fans and cooling pumps, as well as a system that monitors the engine's performance in real-time to optimize its efficiency.
The new container ship will operate on the FAL1 route, which connects Asia with Europe.
