A Chinese Naval Group Visits the Port of Cádiz
A naval group from the People's Republic of China is at the port of Cádiz. It consists of the destroyer “Nanning” (162), the frigate “Sanya” (574), and the supply ship “Weishanhu” (887). On board, the three ships have a total of 716 crew members. It seems they enjoy the manzanilla from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, as some boxes have arrived at the gangway. The departure is scheduled for next Monday, June 12.
The presence of Chinese military vessels in the Cádiz port is not new. In 2007, another group formed by the destroyer “Guangzhou” (186) and the same supply ship was present for joint exercises with the Navy.
