A Catamaran Collides with a Ferry in Tinos Port

The Cypriot-flagged catamaran “Champion Jet 1” (IMO 9151008) collided this Friday during the maneuver to leave the port of Tinos (Greece) with the Greek ferry “Ekaterini P” (IMO 9000443), which was at the adjacent dock and was also preparing to depart when it “encountered it at the bow,” says the report from the newspaper tinostoday.gr.

The catamaran “Champion Jet 1” returned to the port of Rafina, from which it had departed with 686 passengers. The Greek Coast Guard reports that there were no injuries or marine pollution as a result of the incident.
