The catamaran “Alborán” will replace the ferry “Volcán de Taburiente” for 20 days
The upcoming dry docks for the ships “Volcán de Tamasite” and “Volcán de Tijarafe”, which will enter Asticán, have prompted a reorganization of the Naviera Armas fleet during the first three weeks of May, in which the ship “Volcán de Taburiente” will replace both. The first will enter dry dock on May 2, and the next is scheduled for May 10, initially extending until the 20th of that month.
For this reason, the catamaran “Alborán” has been chartered to Trasmediterránea, which will depart from Algeciras tomorrow afternoon on its way to Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This fast vessel will be in charge of the Los Cristianos-La Gomera-La Palma route for the duration of the “Volcán de Taburiente” displacement. The dry dock for the catamaran “Volcán de Taburiente” will take place later, possibly in November.
