Boluda Shipping Strengthens Its Rail Presence with the New Corporate Design of Transfesa Locomotives
Boluda Shipping continues to advance its intermodal logistics strategy with the incorporation of the rail business of Transfesa into its service offerings. This activity is integrated into Boluda Logistics, the unit specialized in land logistics solutions of the company, along with road transport and storage services. The integration expands Boluda's capacity to offer increasingly efficient logistics solutions, connecting rail and maritime transport within the same operational chain.
On the tracks, the Euro 4000 locomotive stands out, showcasing Boluda's new corporate design. The company's characteristic blue and red colors, along with the "B" logo, enhance brand visibility in the rail sector and project a unified image of the logistics services that Boluda Shipping develops by sea and rail. This new decoration highlights the role of rail as one of the strategic pillars of the company's logistics offering.
As part of this operation, Boluda Lines containers are transported by rail between Madrid and Jerez de la Frontera, where they continue their journey by sea through the company's regular services. This integration between rail and maritime transport allows for efficient connections between Northern Europe and the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, and various destinations in West Africa, creating a sustainable logistics chain tailored to the needs of international trade.
The rail service is carried out using intermodal platforms designed for the transport of maritime containers, a solution that promotes more efficient management of goods flows and enhances the competitiveness of international logistics chains.
With initiatives like this, Boluda Shipping continues to promote a logistics model based on intermodality, combining operational efficiency, sustainability, and international connectivity. The integration of rail and maritime transport consolidates the role of green corridors as a key tool for advancing towards more environmentally friendly logistics.
