Boluda Opens Two New Routes to Villagarcía and Leixoes
Boluda Lines announces the opening of two new regular services from the Canary Islands, consisting of a direct line to the port of Villagarcía (Pontevedra) and another to Leixoes (Portugal). At the same time, Boluda highlights the consolidation of the line between Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Cape Verde, inaugurated in October 2017 and operating weekly since February 2019, connecting the ports of Sal, Boavista, Mindelo, and Praia.
This service has been expanded with an additional vessel, which operates on alternate weeks via Dakar (Senegal) and Bissau (Guinea), encouraged by the results obtained in the transport of fruits and vegetables, including the export of Canarian bananas, both for local consumption and for large hotel chains.
Boluda continues to expand the line between Seville and the ports of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Arrecife de Lanzarote, with three services in different combinations, and in recent years has made a strong investment in refrigerated containers (reefers).
Currently, it operates 14 specialized lines for the transport of perishable and refrigerated products, connecting the Iberian Peninsula with the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Northern Europe, the western coast of Africa, and Cape Verde, in addition to the service it offers on the Paraná-Paraguay waterway.
