Balearia Adds High-Speed Service to the Denia-Ibiza Route
On the eve of summer, Balearia has introduced a daily high-speed service on the Ibiza-Denia route, which adds to two others operated with conventional ferries, one from this same port and another from Valencia. In total, from the end of April to mid-October, it offers three daily connections between the Valencian Community and Ibiza, with a daily capacity of 2,700 seats.
Since April 29, a daily high-speed service (except Tuesdays) to San Antonio has been operating with a stop in Formentera, which will be direct starting in June, and two more departures will be added on weekends during August. The assigned vessel for the fast ferry “Jaume III” has a capacity for 655 passengers and 140 vehicles and covers the route in two and a half hours.
Balearia maintains its daily connections to Ibiza from Denia with the ferry “Nissos Chios” and six weekly departures from Valencia with the chartered vessel “Sicilia”. It has also initiated a direct connection on the Denia-Formentera route, which will operate until mid-October with the fast ferry “Ramón Llul”, which has a capacity for 476 passengers and 90 vehicles.
Balearia will offer more than thirty thousand seats from Barcelona and Alcudia to Ciudadela from June 17 to 26, coinciding with the San Juan festivities. There will be a total of 18 trips from Barcelona to Ciudadela, of which thirteen will stop in Alcudia and five will be direct. This route will be operated by the vessels “Martín i Soler”, with a capacity for 1200 passengers, and “Denia Ciutat Creativa”, which will complement connections with the island throughout the season.
