Balearia Operates in Ciutadella with the Help of a Tugboat

The vessel “Hypatia de Alejandría” has conducted trials today at the port of Ciutadella, where it will operate during the summer on the route to Alcudia and Barcelona. There was some anticipation as it is the largest ship that Balearia operates on this route, maneuvering with the assistance of the tugboat “Rolón Plata II”.

This support vessel, a Stan Tug 1606 model, measures 16.76 m in length, has a towing power of 15 tons, and has been acquired from the Dutch shipyard Damen, to ensure the maneuvers of the vessel “Hypatia de Alejandría” at the mentioned port, in accordance with the operational requirements of the Govern.
