The catamaran “Alborán” will replace the “Volcán de Tirajana” on the El Hierro route
Due to the dry docking of the catamaran “Volcán de Tirajana”, scheduled for next week at ASTICAN, the catamaran “Alborán” from the Trasmediterránea fleet will come to replace it, having previously covered the El Hierro-Los Cristianos route until the arrival of this vessel. This will begin on Thursday, April 28, for a period of two weeks and with the same schedule as that of the Caflaja (Naviera Armas) service on this route.
The catamaran “Volcán de Tirajana”, formerly “Milenium Tres”, has been in service with Naviera Armas since February 2015. It first debuted on the Motril-Melilla route and has been on the El Hierro-Los Cristianos route since June 16 of the following year, under a public service obligation contract awarded by the Government of the Canary Islands, amounting to 18 million euros over four years.
