ACOESTE Highlights the Notable Role of Canarian Ports
Continuing with its policy of contacts with entities related to the activities of its members, representatives of the Provincial Association of Shipping Agents and Stevedores of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (ACOESTE) held an “enriching meeting” with Manuel Ortega, manager of Canarian Ports, in which they shared the growing interest of some cruise lines in offering their clients ports within their management scope.
In this meeting, Manuel Ortega informed about the advances of his entity in the automation of information and control systems that optimize the management of geographically dispersed ports, expecting to soon launch the first tests of some of these projects. ACOESTE encourages him to continue his efforts to facilitate a more agile management for the clients represented by its members.
As Canarian Ports, dependent on the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands, celebrates its tenth anniversary, “the goal they face is to facilitate potential clients to easily access the services offered by the ports they manage,” concludes ACOESTE.
